~ Software-as-a-Service specialist boosts support for UK IT channel ~
humyo, the leading provider of online storage and collaboration tools for both the consumer and SMB market, today announced the appointment of David Aparicio as Channel Sales Director. The strategic hire will strengthen humyo’s channel management team and develop opportunities for resellers in the rapidly growing software-as-a-service (SaaS) market.
As small businesses increasingly look to improve internal and external collaboration as well as reduce the cost and complexity of their IT, humyo is well positioned to exploit the growing demand for online storage and file access. The arrival of David Aparicio will enhance humyo’s presence in the channel and drive uptake of its new reseller program – designed to create a 500 strong network of VARs to resell humyo’s Software-as-a-Service products – humyo Workspace and humyo Premium.
“Having already put the infrastructure in place to support the IT channel, and with further investment in internal channel staff as well as the launch of a new reseller program to expand our channel proposition, it is an exciting time to join humyo,” comments David Aparicio, Channel Sales Director at humyo. “These steps provide the platform for enabling us to achieve our ambitious channel objectives and providing VAR’s with new and incremental revenue within the rapidly growing online storage space.”
Prior to humyo, David Aparicio held numerous senior management positions within the IT industry, including Business Development Director for Bullguard – a leading provider of internet security products within the IT channel.
“David’s appointment brings a wealth of proven IT channel software sales experience,” comments Dan Conlon, Managing Director and founder of humyo. “David’s 15 years of experience within the IT industry will enable humyo to build and grow a value-based channel.”
humyo’s partner programme is divided into affiliates, associate, resellers, white-label and strategic partners. The new reseller partner programme allows VAR’s to resell humyo branded products to both consumers and small business and receive a tiered discount off SRP based on revenue projections.
